Miami Beach, FL – February 28, 2013 – Tourists and residents who love taking pictures of Miami Beach can now win great prizes for their best images. The Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA) is sponsoring a photo contest through its Facebook page seeking creative, dramatic and stunning images of the world famous destination. In return, the MBVCA is offering equally eye-catching prizes:  First place - roundtrip airfare from any major city in the continental U.S. plus a 4 day/3 night stay at a luxury hotel in Miami Beach; Second place - $1,000 cash; Third place - an Apple iPad Mini.

 

“We know there are thousands of people who take, and have images of Miami Beach on their cameras, Smartphones and tablets,” says Jeff Lehman, Chair, MBVCA. “Our goal is to have them send us their best shots so we capture those images in one location and share them with the world. As a bonus, three amateur photographers will win three great prizes and bragging rights about their photography skills. Miami Beach is a destination like no other in the world, and there is no better way to show it off than though the eyes the city’s biggest fans.”

 

Whether taken via Smartphone or digital camera, highlighting the beach or a beautiful sunset, all photographic entries showcasing the majestic quality of the tropical metropolis that is Miami Beach are welcome. Voting will take place on the MBVCA Facebook page and the ten (10) photographs with the most “likes” will move on to a final round of judging by the MBVCA Board of Directors. First, second and third place winners will be notified on Friday, April 19, 2013.

 

The contest begins on March 1, 2013, and ends at midnight on March 31, 2013. The contest is open to participants 18-years-old and older as of March 1, 2013. Photos must be uploaded to the MBVCA Facebook page as well as emailed to photocontestmiamibeach@miamibeachvca.com.  All rules and eligibility requirements are posted on the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority Facebook page.
