On display at The Wolfsonian from September 21, 2023 through June 2, 2024, The Big World: Alternative Landscapes in the Modern Era challenges conventional notions of landscape art with an exploration of land depictions within the museum's collection. The exhibit ventures beyond idyllic scenes by presenting the modern era's evolving vistas captured in paintings, the decorative arts, and even a grand piano. Covering the period from the late 1800s to the first half of the 1900s, The Big World delves into the effects of global growth and shifting perspectives of the world around us, from pristine nature to its radical transformation in contemporary urban and industrial centers along with panoramas scarred by warfare and environmental disregard.

The pioneering artwork of Korean-American artist Nam June Paik was a major influence on late twentieth-century art and continues to inspire the new generation of artists. On display from October 4, 2023 to August 16, 2024, The Bass presents Nam June Paik: The Miami Years, an exhibition featuring works that explore the little-known history of Paik's ties to Miami Beach and the South Florida community. Paik, a pioneer of electronic art, is credited with coining the term "electronic superhighway" and foreseeing the impact of digital media on art and society.

Organized around The Bass’ acquisition of Paik’s TV Cello, Nam June Paik: The Miami Years delves into the acclaimed artist's Miami connection along with his innovative use of communication and media technologies such as in his sculptural installations WING and MIAMI, both of which were on display at Miami International Airport in the 90s. The exhibit offers fresh insights into Paik's personal engagement with South Florida through original research that includes a timeline account of the making and display of WING and MIAMI.

The show will also feature Notations, a series of installations and performances by three contemporary artists whose practices engage with and expand on the experimental uses of technology found in Nam June Paik’s work. These installations will be unveiled throughout 2024, with the first by Aki Onda in February.

Devour some of the best donuts Wynwood has to offer on the Miami: Wynwood Art District Donut Tour. Hosted by Underground Donut Tours, this two hour walking tour, led by a passionate donut expert, will guide you to some of Wynwood's best donut locales. The tour starts off at The Salty Donut's flagship store where you'll try a sampling of their regularly rotating flavors which may include maple bacon, tres leches, guava and cheese and more. From there, the tour heads to Miami's first Asian food hall where you'll try some amazing dessert style buns. The next stop features some vegan delights at a local coffee shop. And lastly, the tour will stop at one of Miami's best churro spots.

The Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF) offers pre-professional students in Opera, Orchestra and Conducting the opportunity to study with world-class artists and perform high caliber summer concerts for the Miami Beach community. The festival will take place from June 10 through July 28, 2024.  Young artists from over 25 different countries ages 16-30 will travel to Miami Beach to perform public concerts in venues throughout Miami Beach. Now in its 11^th year, this festival offers young artists a prestigious training opportunity where they will be able to participate in everything from full opera productions to symphonic concerts, recitals, chamber music performances, masterclasses and more in venues throughout Miami Beach from Lummus Park and Ocean Drive to Lincoln Road and others.
